Fairies are the guards at the School for Good, just like the wolves at the School for Evil, save for their roles managing discipline. Their scientific name is Glitterus obedius.

Appearance[]

Fairies are small, though it is possible for them to become 'overgrown'[1], and humanoid. They have glittery butterfly wings. Their mouths are full of sharp teeth that shoot sticky golden webs that they use to ensnare prey (the ones at the School for Good use this ability to catch students).

Fairies from Maidenvale typically have purple wings.

The fairies who graduate from the schools retain their human appearance, although with the exception that they grow wings which they can fold and unfold at will, although in some cases they become pixies.

Neverland fairies are small in size, have green clothing and golden insect wings, and are usually wrapped in a golden glow.

Background[]

At School[]

The fairies patrolled the School for Good and made sure Evers did not misbehave. When an Evil student failed, the punishment was to be transformed into a Fairy to serve the School for Good. This was revealed when Bane made the wish that all of the students would know the truth, which Agatha granted. During the Circus of Talents, Sophie ordered ravens to kill all of the fairies and wolves. Bane managed to escape from the ravens, and saved Agatha from plummeting to her death when Sophie pushed her down from a tall ledge during her transformation into a bald, wrinkled witch. Bane set Agatha down and died in her hands: the energy he expended as a fairy to save her was life-draining and fatal.

After the School for Good was restored, new fairies were hired but these fairies are real and not enchanted students. They also have less patience than their human counterparts and they all bite.

Gillikin Fairies[]

Introduced in The Last Ever After. They live in Gillikin and have their own queen. These fairies are far better-natured than the ones at school. Merlin describes them as an Ever's best friend. The Gillikin fairies are invisible but they can become visible as demonstrated by their queen.

Human Fairies[]

They are fairies that instead of being born or cursed, they were once students who graduated from the school of good and evil and became fairies when they graduated, specifically they become fairies godmothers in the school of good and wicked fairies in the school of Evil.

Neverland Fairies[]

The fairies of Neverland are loyal to Peter Pan, and produce fairy dust than can allow humans to fly. They highly value kisses, especially from good-looking boys. They have golden wings, and wear green bustiers and pearl crowns.

Abilities[]

  • Super Streght:Real fairies possess unmatched strength and are capable of lifting an adult man. The enchanted students lacked this power as Bane died trying to save Agatha.
  • Flight: With their insect wings, fairies are able to fly at great speed.
  • Magic: As magical beings, fairies possess great magical powers, being considered one of the most powerful magical beings.
    • Fairy Dust: Fairies are capable of creating Fairy Dust, a magical dust which gives them the ability to fly and the ability to break dark spells and curses.
    • Energy projection: some fairies possess the ability to manipulate magical energy in order to defend themselves by launching powerful energy beams through their hands or in other cases from magic wands.
    • Invisibility: Fairies can make themselves invisible at will and visible if they want to.

Known Fairies[]
